Many initiatives are underway at 51社区黑料that intersect with each of our four strategic priorities and underpin work at all levels of the university.

Artificial intelligence (AI)

As the AI revolution charges on, 51社区黑料needs to determine how we can responsibly leverage and utilize the use of AI for the greater good of education, research, and society.

To begin this work, an AI strategy committee was formed in the summer of 2024, chaired by Dugan O'Neil, Vice President of Research & Innovation. The committee was created to look at how the university can explore the opportunities and impacts of AI at 51社区黑料in four key areas: learning and teaching, research, operations and external engagement.

51社区黑料is committed to taking meaningful action to regenerate our Earth's ecosystems, slow climate change, build community resilience to climate impacts and advance environmental justice.

We prioritize this work across research, teaching, learning, community and operations, in keeping with our 51社区黑料values of resilience and sustainability. This work is done on campus, in our local communities, and globally. Everyone at 51社区黑料contributes to this work and action is being taken in every faculty, department and team.
