When I started my undergrad, my plan was to try as many subjects as possible to find something that interested me. I quickly discovered a passion for genetics, which lead to me compleing the genomics certificate and an MBB minor so that I could learn more. I also had the fortune of working on genetics-focused projects with Dr. Fitzpatrick and Dr. Mattsson, and look forward to continuing to learn more in future honours and masters theses. Biology is full of opportunity: I'd encourage everyone to explore a little, try something new, and find what they truly enjoy.
