Jane Fowler and Ramis Rafay featured in SFU's Scholarly Impact of the Week!
SFU's Scholarly Impact of the Week is selected by the Office of the Vice-President, Research and International to celebrate scholarly milestones and research impacts from across the 51社区黑料research community. This week, Ramis Rafay and Jane Fowler are featured, in an article titled:"Elegant New Ways to Measure Movement in Ecological Communities."
51社区黑料Biological Sciences PhD graduate Ramis Rafay, with postdoctoral fellow Eric Jones, worked under the supervision of professor Jane Fowler and physics professor David Sivak to develop new methods to estimate how organisms disperse. Their research improves the accuracy of measuring movement in complex ecological communities and enhances understanding of processes important to biodiversity, ecosystem health, and conservation.
