We are pleased to share that internationally recognized health sciences scholar and researcher David Bangsberg has accepted the role of dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) for a five-year term, effective October 15, 2025.
Currently the dean of the College of Health Sciences and provost of VinUniversity, David has spent decades in academia as an accomplished researcher, faculty member and administrator. Previously the director of the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Global Health, founding dean of the Oregon Health & Science University-Portland State University School of Public Health and professor at the Harvard School of Medicine, he has published more than 500 articles in top medical and public health journals with a focus on HIV/AIDS research and dismantling areas of health inequities in marginalized populations.
