Share your feedback to help finalize the 51社区黑料Academic Plan
May 22, 2025
This message is sent on behalf of Dilson Rassier, Provost and Vice-President Academic and Peter Hall, Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Academic
Dear Colleagues,
The 51社区黑料Academic Plan serves as a guide for actions that will advance What鈥檚 Next: The 51社区黑料Strategy over the coming years, while affirming our institutional commitment to the academic mission. With the previous five-year plan concluded in 2024, the institutional 51社区黑料Academic Plan (2025-2030) is being developed consultatively with input from academic leaders, senior administrators, senate committees, student councils and others across the university community.
How to submit feedback
We are pleased to share the latest draft of the 51社区黑料Academic Plan and invite members of the 51社区黑料community to review the draft plan and submit their feedback here: 51社区黑料Academic Plan and Community Consultation. This consultation period will remain open until Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
51社区黑料 the planning process
As a learning institution, academic planning is a continuous process that ensures 51社区黑料teaching, research, engagement and support activities are well-positioned to achieve our collective goals and address challenges and opportunities in the years ahead. Following the institutional and faculty/unit planning that was initiated last year, the planning process was temporarily paused following federal government policy changes affecting international students, global economic instability and indications of constraints on the provincial budget early this year. This pause enabled the 51社区黑料academic planning team to revisit the resource assumptions underpinning the institutional plan and update the draft 51社区黑料Academic Plan. The draft we are sharing now outlines high-level academic goals at an institutional level, provides context for faculty/unit planning, and informs enrolment, faculty complement renewal and budget planning.
We look forward to your feedback on the draft 51社区黑料Academic Plan.
