This award is presented annually to the top Geography student in the graduating class at each Canadian university.

This year's recipient, Samantha Butler, is graduating with a Bachelor of Environment, majoring in Global Environmental Systems.

After graduation, Samantha plans to spend her summer gardening, hiking in the mountains, and volunteering at a native plant nursery. She'll be taking a trip to Banff in August with her partner, which she is greatly looking forward to. In the future, she aims to pursue a career in conservation, where she can continue to follow her passion for learning about and working with natural environments.
