Biography
Cameron Duncan discovered the Department of Humanities in his 3rd year of undergraduate studies. At the beginning of his BA, he took whatever courses caught his interest but did not feel like he had found a field of study that he could embrace and would, in turn, embrace him. On the first day of his first Humanities course, Professor Ian Angus posed a question that changed his life and thinking forever. He asked 鈥渨hat type of thinking might allow us to respond to our planetary condition?鈥� Cameron has pursued this question ever since, and it became the focus of his MA thesis, completed in the Department of Humanities in 2013 and supervised by Professor Angus. He remains actively connected to the department that he considers so formative in his life: "graduate studies in the Humanities Department was a life-changing experience that shaped my path as both a human being and a student鈥攊t prepared me for a life of thought."
