Financial Aid and Awards is accepting online applications for the 2026 SFU Service Awards. The deadline for applications and the submission of all supporting documentation and forms is Friday, April 24, 2026.

Financial Aid and Awards is accepting applications for the awards listed below, but also for many other SFU Service Awards. LGBTA Community Service Award

Program Code: UPAO271 ($2000)

To an undergraduate student who has demonstrated a history of service in support of LGBTA-positive organizations and/or causes. Preference will be given to an international student.

REQUIREMENTS:  In addition to the required PDF forms and resume, the applicant should submit a one page cover letter describing the applicant’s history of service in support of LGBTA-positive organizations and/or causes.

Living Personal Truths Award

Program Code: UEAO606 ($1400), 1 Award Available

To a student in any faculty who has demonstrated a significant contribution to reducing discrimination and/or increasing awareness of sexual orientation and gender diversity.

REQUIREMENTS:  In addition to the required PDF forms and resume, the applicant should submit a one page cover letter describing the applicant’s contributions and impact of the applicant’s role in that service.

Three Links Foundation Community Service Award

Program Code: UEAO201 ($1350) 1 Award Available

To students in any faculty based on demonstrated commitment to and leadership in advancing human rights through their unpaid volunteer work.

REQUIREMENTS: In addition to the required PDF forms and resume, the application should submit a one page cover letter outlining the applicant’s demonstrated commitment to and leadership in advancing human rights through their unpaid volunteer work.

Ken Chan BA’95 LGBT Undergraduate Award 

Program Code: UPAO261 ($1000) 1 Award Available

To an undergraduate student who has demonstrated positive contributions to the 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏLGBT community and/or the external LGBT community through leadership, volunteerism, team work and/or ambassadorship. 

REQUIREMENTS:  In addition to the required PDF forms and resume, the applicant should submit a one page cover letter describing the applicant’s contributions to the LGBT community and the impact of the applicant’s role in that service.
