Areas of interest

My primary research interests are in fluid dynamics, industrial mathematics, and scientific computing. I am particularly interested in developing accurate and efficient numerical methods for the solution of complex physical problems governed by nonlinear systems of partial differential equations. I combine a variety of approaches, including asymptotic analysis, finite volume methods, adaptive meshes, and interface methods. The problems I study are drawn from a wide range of applications including hydrogen fuel cells, particle suspensions, bio-fluid dynamics, and flows in porous media.
