- Dr. Meghan Winters is a CIHR/PHAC Applied Public Health Chair (Gender and Sex in Healthy Cities) and a Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏ. She leads the Cities, Health, and Active Transportation Research Lab, where with a wonderful team of trainees and staff she leads a responsive research program looking at how city policies, plans, and infrastructure can support healthy and safe transportation, with equity front of mind. She is happiest when working in close collaboration with partners to conduct research and create tools that address real-world challenges.

- Aman is an urbanist and community advocate based in Newton-Surrey and South Vancouver. Her toolkit includes social planning, project management, knowledge mobilization, and facilitation. At her core, she is a connector and creative passionate about shaping caring cities that truly work for people. Aman volunteers her time working with racialized youth and communities on initiatives related to food security, transportation equity, and art-based placemaking projects.
Colin Ferster (he/him)
Research Associate
- Colin uses traditional and emerging sources of geographic data to study people and their environments. He completed a PhD and MSc at the University of British Columbia and a BSc at the University of Victoria — all focused on integrating diverse types of spatial data.Colin’s favourite ways to explore are on two wheels or two feet. This perspective informs the research questions he seeks to answer using maps.
