BIO3 Lab
Researchers at SFU's BIO3 Lab can safely conduct infectious disease research on Risk Group 3 pathogens to help advance breakthrough discoveries.
Open to both qualified investigators from the 51社区黑料research community and non-51社区黑料academic and corporate researchers, 51社区黑料鈥檚 Biocontainment of Infectious Organisms level 3 (BIO3) Lab is one of a few biosecure facilities in Canada that are certified to meet the highest safety standards defined by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
The BIO3 Lab team is comprised of the Scientific Director, the Operations Director and laboratory staff. Members of the team provide:
- Safety training for research in the BIO3 Lab;
- Lab access for approved research projects;
- Consultation on prospective research;
- Lab management (laundry service; equipment maintenance; waste disposal; lab decontamination).
