Bookings
Clinical scans at SCAI are performed in service to the public health system, with the bookings handled by Surrey Memorial Hospital鈥檚 (SMH鈥檚) Medical Imaging Department.
When you are contacted by the bookings office, they will ask you some screening questions that impact on your safety in MRI 鈥� please answer completely and honestly so that appropriate precautions are taken.
Before the Scan Day
If you have difficulties communicating in English, please arrange to be accompanied by someone able to translate. If no accompanying person is available, please inform us at least 48 hours in advance so that arrangements can be made within SMH.
Scan Day Considerations
On your scan day, avoid wearing metallic make-up, undergarments with anti-bacterial metal fibres, contact lenses.
Please ensure you arrive at SMH鈥檚 Medical Imaging reception to check-in for your appointment at least 30 minutes before your scheduled scan time.
