Clinical Exercise Physiology BPK 405 (3)
A study of the clinical aspects of exercise physiology by thoroughly examining the relationship between exercise and chronic disease. For each chronic disease state and condition, this course covers its physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacotherapy along with exercise testing, prescription, safety, and programming issues. Prerequisite: BPK 310, 343. Recommended: BPK 305, 340. Students with credit for BPK 421 under the title "Clinical Exercise Physiology I: Cardiorespiratory and Metabolic Disorders" may not take this course for further credit.
