Health, Illness and the Politics of Work LBST 302 (3)
Explores structural, community, and embodied experiences of illness and health under racial capitalism. Draws on ethnography, poetic and visual documentary, labour history, and critical global health to foreground workers鈥� struggles alongside people鈥檚 everyday practices of interpreting and healing sickness as starting points for solidarity and the refusal of work. Prerequisite: Recommended: LBST 100 or LBST 101. Students who have taken LBST 203 in Spring 2025 or LBST 330 in Spring 2026 may not take this course for further credit. Breadth-Social Sciences.
