Topics in Biomathematics MATH 468 (3)
Methods and applications of mathematical models in biology, focusing on understanding, analyzing, and applying scientific literature using models and integrating real data. Topics may include parameter estimation in biological models, stochastic simulation of disease outbreaks, age structured population models, and others. Course may be repeated for credit under a different topic. Prerequisite: One of MATH 348, MATH 360; or MATH 260 and STAT 330; or CMPT 305 and one of MATH 232, MATH 240; or two of MACM 316, MATH 314, MATH 418, MATH 467. All with a minimum grade of C-.
