Sequential Logic and Microcontrollers MSE 352 (3)
Synchronous and asynchronous sequential logic circuits. Counter design and registers. Introduction to microprocessor/microcontroller applications, memory and I/O systems. Microcontrollers: features, architecture and programming model. Introduction to assembly language and microcontroller programming. Addressing modes, assembling and linking programs. Timer/counter programming. ADC, DAC, and sensor interfacing. Prerequisite: CMPT 130, MSE 252 and (MSE 251 or ENSC 226 or SEE 231).
