Public Policy in the Global Arena PLCY 301 (4)
Examines the major policy challenges in a global arena focusing on how public policy is made, implemented and contested beyond the nation-state. Throughout the course students will learn about various governance institutions, explore the tensions between state and non-state actors, and survey contemporary policy challenges. A strong emphasis is placed on power, politics, and policy outcomes in the Global North and South. Prerequisite: PLCY 100 or PLCY 200.
