Integrated Energy Solution II SEE 310 (4)
Design of energy systems and their interactions with the land and water system. How do engineers optimize system-level decisions, and how are those decisions impacted by global and local regulatory and policy directions? Implemented through an energy system modelling project undertaken in a team learning environment. Introduction to optimization and systems modelling best practices and how these are applied to energy systems. Demonstration of integrated sustainability thinking through a design project, report and presentation. Special emphasis on communication skills. Prerequisite: Completion of one co-op work term; SEE 111, 224, 242, 251.
