COVID-19 Updates – 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏSurrey

Please note the following changes to access of the Surrey campus effective immediately:

• Building access: While access to SRYC and SRYE remains open to 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏstaff, faculty, and students who produce 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏID, effectively immediately both buildings will be closed between 10:30 PM and 7:30 AM.
• Team room access: Team rooms at both SRYC and SRYE will be closed 24/7 until further notice.
• Essential work and research: The only group granted afterhours access to 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏSurrey are those engaged in essential work and essential research (grad students, faculty, etc.). Upon arrival, please sign in at the security desk with your 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏID.

We understand that these are challenging times, and we want you to know that your health and safety are extremely important to us. Please help us in creating a safe environment and stop the spread of COVID-19. Thank you fo­r your patience and cooperation.

Currently, . During this time, it is recommended that you refrain from coming to campus if it is not required. If you do decide to come to an 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏcampus:

• As of November 12, all faculty, staff and students are required to conduct a daily Active Health Screening before visiting campus by using the BC Government's . If you answer "yes" to any question, including having just one symptom, do not travel to campus and instead seek medical advice by calling 8-1-1.
• It is expected that 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏcommunity members and visitors wear non-medical masks in all indoor common areas on our campuses.

Campus security as well as the COVID-19 Safety Ambassador Teams (CATs) patrol both SRYC and SRYE regularly to provide information and reminders about COVID-19 safety measures.
