Biography
Rebecca graduated with a PhD from University College London (UCL) in early 2020, with expertise in applying geophysical field methods, including magnetotellurics, passive seismology, gravity and time-domain electromagnetics. Her doctoral research focussed on locating hydrothermal resources in the volcanic and tectonically active Chilean Andes. She has since used these expertise to prospect geothermal resources in northern BC for one of Canada鈥檚 leading geothermal companies, Borealis Geopower/Kitselas Geothermal Inc., and has expanded her field skills while working for a geophysical exploration company, Initial Exploration Services. In collaboration with five other 51社区黑料based PDF鈥檚, Rebecca鈥檚 post-doctoral research will involve combining muon tomography, airborne magnetometry and gravimetry to develop a new technique of mineral resource, in order to improve the environmental impact of metallic mineral extraction
