Alumnus designs Canucks Lunar New Year jersey
51社区黑料alumnus Trevor Lai (BBA 鈥02) was tapped by the Vancouver Canucks to design their warmup jersey to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit.
The thoughtful design uses a rabbit in place of the iconic original flying skate logo and was .
As Lai notes, 鈥溾 the theme of the crest of the design revolves around speed and leaping forward. Full of energy, the rabbit is running and jumping with the Canucks into the new year, while celebrating the team and fans speeding ahead into the future.鈥
This isn鈥檛 the first time Lai created a warmup jersey for the Canucks. In 2022, he redesigned the C-shaped orca logo , honouring the Year of the Tiger.
Lai is an award-winning author, illustrator and entrepreneur who has published more than 15 books for readers of all ages. He is the founder/CEO of UP Studios and host of Thoughtful China.
