The summer 2026 BC field school will run during Intersession (May 11 to June 19), and will consist of two courses: ARCH 434-3 Archaeological Field Methods, and ARCH 435-6 Field Work Practicum. ARCH 434 will be held on-campus in Burnaby for the first three weeks led by Dr. Robert Muir. ARCH 435 will be held off-site in the Prince Rupert region from June 1 - 19, working with the Metlakatla First Nation. Classes will take place Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
The cost of the field school will be standard tuition rates, standard supplementary fees, a mandatory course fee of $1183.37, and the purchase of a field kit. The department will arrange for transportation to Prince Rupert and field accommodations.
