Graduate Student Clubs

Lead, Learn, & Grow

At 51社区黑料Beedie, student clubs play a vital role in shaping the graduate experience. Whether you鈥檙e looking to strengthen your leadership skills, build lifelong connections, or make a tangible impact on campus and beyond, stepping into a leadership role within one of our student-run clubs is an invaluable opportunity.

Why join a student club leadership team?

Develop key leadership and professional skills

Serving as a club executive hones essential skills like project management, strategic decision-making, event planning, financial oversight, and stakeholder communication鈥攕kills highly valued by employers in any industry.

Strengthen your resume and career prospects

Leadership roles provide hands-on experience that enhances your resume, demonstrating initiative, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities to future employers. Many of our past student leaders have leveraged their experience to secure top roles in consulting, finance, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Build a strong professional and personal network

As a club executive, you鈥檒l connect with industry professionals, faculty, alumni, and peers across different programs. These relationships open doors to mentorship, career opportunities, and a support network that extends beyond your time at Beedie.

Make a lasting impact on the 51社区黑料Beedie community

Be a driving force behind events, initiatives, and advocacy efforts that create meaningful experiences for fellow students. Whether through networking events, case competitions, or diversity and inclusion initiatives, you鈥檒l help shape the future of the Beedie graduate community.

Elections and how to get involved

Elections for club leadership roles take place each September, giving all graduate students the opportunity to step up and take on a leadership position.

Student leaders hold their positions for one academic year (September to August) and are then responsible for onboarding their successors the following year. Handover meetings will be conducted by the outgoing executive team of each student organization, supported by the Student Engagement Office to ensure a smooth transition.
