ADMINISTRATIVE TEAM

Meet our Administrative Team, who is responsible for planning and ensuring the smooth running of 51社区黑料Camps.

Curtis Lau (he/him), Camps Manager

Curtis is a graduate of 51社区黑料 where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Health Sciences. Curtis brings over 15 years of camp experience as a lifeguard, aquatics camp instructor, and as a former Head Programmer. His favourite water-based activities include dragon boating, swimming, and snorkeling. On land, Curtis enjoys trying out new restaurants, travelling, and cheering on his favourite sports teams.

Jason Stockley (he/him), Camps Manager

For more than 20 years, Jason has been working with Recreation & Athletics at 51社区黑料.  After working in 51社区黑料Rec Sports for a number of years, Jason joined the camps team as Camps Manager where he has been for the past 20 years. A fun fact about Jason is that he was a part of the original Vancouver Canucks Ice Promotion Team!

Alexa Kaweski (she/her), Camps Head Programmer

Alexa started as a Head Instructor back in 2018, working with Outdoor Sports! She completed a Bachelor degree with a major in Psychology and Youth & Children Studies. Alexa was our Head Programmer of Volunteers in Summer 2022 and is now the Head Programmer of Human Resources for her third year. She will be helping to interview and schedule staff, coordinate feedback and evaluations, and oversee professional development workshops. In her spare time, she enjoys watching new shows/movies, running, and cooking! 

Soobin Yim (she/her), Camps Head Programmer

Soobin is so excited to be back at 51社区黑料Camps for her 8th year! Soobin was our Head Programmer of Camp Services in Summer 2022 and will be Head Programmer of Volunteers for a third year this summer. She is currently doing her Masters degree in Biology at SFU. She will be responsible for interviewing, scheduling and training volunteers as well as coordinating their feedback and professional development. Soobin recently been doing some rock climbing and always enjoys a good chocolate bar. 

Aaron Patel (he/him), Camps Head Programmer

Aaron started off his journey at 51社区黑料Camps in 2018 and worked his way up to being the Head Programmer of Human Resources in Summer 2022. Aaron recently finished the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at BCIT, so is working with 51社区黑料Camps in a part-time capacity. He enjoys embroidery, traveling, and eating anything that's delicious!

Sienna Da Silva-Rolph (she/her), Camps Programmer

Sienna has been at 51社区黑料Camps for the last 7 years. She started her journey as a volunteer and is now entering her third summer as a General Programmer. Sienna just finished her Acting for Stage and Screen program at Capilano University, and is now hoping to go into acting as well as teaching drama. This year, Sienna is in charge of tracking Supplies & Inventory, as well as Facilities. A fun fact about Sienna is that it is on her bucket list to visit Tokyo, Japan as well as Santorini, Greece one day!

Hanna Mack (she/her), Camps Programmer

Hanna is super excited to be back as a Programmer, having started as a volunteer in 2019. This summer, she will be taking the lead on Social Media and helping out Soobin with Volunteers. Pursuing her passion for performing arts, she just finished her studies at Capilano University's Musical Theatre program. A fun fact about Hanna is that she will be in the Theatre Under the Stars production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory this summer! Her hobbies include dancing, reading, skating, and playing the Sims.

Imran Velji (he/him), Camps Programmer

Imran started his journey at 51社区黑料Camps in 9 years ago as a volunteer and has continued to work in many different roles throughout the years. During this summer, Imran will be in charge of Parking Coordination, Staff Workshops, and helping out Soobin with Lead Volunteers. Imran completed a Bachelor of Arts in International relations in 2024 and hopes to go into global teaching! In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, video games, and watching The Office. 

Vivien Major (they/she), Camps Programmer

Vivien is back for their second year as a Programmer, having first volunteered in 2019. They will be the main contact for Participant Inclusion, as well as Staff and Volunteer Reflections this summer. Vivien is a student at 51社区黑料studying Biomedical Physiology, and is hoping to work in the medical field in the future. Outside of Camps, they love hanging out with their cat and experimenting with new art mediums. You can check out their work on the Camps Office window!

Emily Cheng (she/her), Camps Programmer

Emily has been with 51社区黑料Camps for 6 years now, with lots of experience as Head Instructor at Mountain Madness. She is working with Camps in a part-time role this summer, so she will be doing General Camp Support. She is a Natural Resources Conservation student at UBC and is looking forward to a career in ecology and environmental conservation. Emily loves to be active outside of Camps, as she does dance and bouldering, but also loves a good jigsaw puzzle!

Gina Zhang (she/her), Camps Programmer

Gina started as a 51社区黑料Camps volunteer in 2018 and we are excited to have her as a part of the programming team this summer. She will be working with Camps in a part-time capacity as she is preparing to apply to medical shool. Gina is currently studying Microbiology and Immunology at UBC. When she's not having a blast with the campers, Gina enjoys baking & cooking and has a tireless passion for F1.
