Neila Miled
Neila Miled, PhD, is a distinguished scholar-practitioner in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and antiracism, currently serving as the director of diversity, equity and inclusion at the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). In her role, she leads the Learning and Development portfolio, where she leads initiatives to enhance DEI and anti-racism competencies across the organization.
Neila is at the forefront of developing and delivering comprehensive training programs and educational resources, fostering institutional partnerships, and implementing strategies to embed DEI principles into organizational practices. Her expertise extends to providing high-level consultancy and making impactful recommendations on a broad range of DEI-related matters, including equitable hiring practices, culture change and policy reform.
With a robust background in curriculum development, facilitation and research, Neila brings a wealth of experience to her role. She holds an MA in educational leadership and a PhD in educational studies from the University of British Columbia, with a specialized focus on anti-racism education.
