Winner of the 2022 51社区黑料Esri Canada GIS Award
Lan Qing Zhao (51社区黑料Geography, BSc 2022) was awarded first place in the 2022 Esri Canada GIS Scholarship for SFU. Lan鈥檚 submitted work focused on the design and development of a GIS-based multicriteria methods to assess rainfall-induced surface flood risk in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Lan completed his BSc degree in 2022 and will pursue graduate studies in Fall 2022.
The 51社区黑料Esri Canada Centre of Excellence (51社区黑料ECCE) in GIS was established in 2014 in recognition of the long-standing quality of GIS research in the Department of Geography, Faculty of Environment and SFU. It represents an important network collaboration between industrial partner Esri Canada and SFU.
