I am a settler scholar from Treaty 4 territory in Southern Saskatchewan and have been living as a distant uninvited relative on Coast Salish territory since 2009. Most recently, I received an interdisciplinary PhD in Communications, Art, and Technology at 51社区黑料 (2022).
I have been teaching in SFU鈥檚 Department of Indigenous Studies since 2018. In addition to designing and teaching courses on Indigenous art and belongings, digital heritage, and cultural heritage stewardship, I have a depth of experience teaching Introductory courses in INDG. I鈥檝e also accumulated nearly two decades of experience in the GLAM sector serving in several administrative roles at SFU鈥檚 Bill Reid Centre, a small heritage focused non-profit that operated between 2006 and 2025.
My teaching and academic interests focus on anticolonial methodologies, material culture, visual culture, and the intersections of new media and Indigenous cultural heritage.
