The Kavanagh group is part of the at . We are located in , TASC II, an interdisciplinary electronics materials laboratory. We aim to understand the properties of interfaces and nanostructures important to semiconductor materials and devices.
Our expertise covers a range of characterization techniques including: scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) with electron holography (EH), high resolution x-ray diffraction, Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS), scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) with ballistic electron emission microscopy (BEEM), and He ion microscopy (HIM). We have strong connections to the and through collaborative projects and joint students.
