SFU-Canterbury Master of Speech and Language Pathology Pathway

Overview

The SFU鈥揅anterbury Master of Speech and Language Pathology Pathway (SFU鈥揢C MSLP) is a partnership between 51社区黑料 (SFU) in Burnaby, Canada and the (UC) in Christchurch, New Zealand.

51社区黑料recognized a gap between the increased demand for speech and language pathologists and the limited pathway options for students in British Columbia. The SFU鈥揢C MSLP pathway creates direct entry for 51社区黑料undergraduates to earn professional qualification and practice as a speech language pathologist/therapist upon graduation.

The SFU鈥揢C MSLP is a two-year program. You will study the areas of clinical linguistics, evidence-based practice, introductory neuroscience, speech and language development and disorders across the lifespan, typical and atypical hearing, swallowing, fluency and voice, and professional practice. This hands-on program also includes experiential clinical practice and internship after graduation.
