biography
S. W. Underwood is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the University of Toronto (expected graduation, April 2025). Their research investigates the families of Canadian gay fathers, including the social organization of their families and their relationship with community, the embodied nature of primary caregiving as men, and how they navigate stigma ascribed to gay men as parents.
