Geological Resources, Environment and Society EASC 107 (3)
An overview of Earth's major geological resources, including critical minerals, metals, hydrocarbons and other energy resources, and groundwater. How are these resources formed? How have methods of exploration and extraction changed, and how might they continue to evolve? How is resource development tied to economics, business, history, politics, and environmental issues? Students may not use EASC 107 for credit towards earth sciences major or minor program requirements.
