Purpose of BC NEIHR

The purpose of the NEIHR program is to establish a national network of centres focused on capacity development, research and knowledge translation (KT). This network of centres provides supportive research environments for Indigenous health research led by, and grounded in, Indigenous communities in Canada.

1) Knowledge Exchange (KE) Initiatives (i,e., co-hosting/ co-funding KE gatherings, collaborative publications) 2) Supporting BC NEIHR funding programs through in-kind and cash contributions towards scholarships and ICCO grants 3) Mentoring Indigenous trainees and the next generation of researchers in Indigenous health 4) Participate as a peer review committee member for BC NEIHR scholarship applications
