INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT IN THE FACULTY OF EDUCATION
INTERNATIONAL FIELD SCHOOLS
International Teacher Education Modules (ITEM)
This module in the Faculty of Education's teacher education program examines issues and challenges faced by students and teachers in B.C. schools where diversity, global education, English as-an-additional-language and intercultural communications have become critical and integral components of the curriculum and classroom life.
Developed in partnership with Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT), this field school develops students' perspectives on education and environment through hands on fieldwork in an international setting and introduces methods for promoting environmental and ecological thinking across grade levels and subject areas.
RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS
Centre for Research on International Education (CRIE)
CRIE supports research into internationalization and the ways it is changing the landscape of higher education in Canada and internationally.
The Research Hub
The Research Hub is an innovative, collaborative, interdisciplinary, technology-infused and centralized space for supporting the research and scholarly activities of our faculty and students. It creates a central space to share at-a-glance information on the research projects and initiatives that interconnect and intersect within the university and in our communities around the world.
Visiting scholars to the Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education invites visiting scholars to enrich research collaborations with colleagues across Canada and around the world.
