We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Behavior Interventionist to join our home/community-based team for a 5-year-old girl. The child is playful and sweet. She loves coloring, dinosaurs, singing, and reading. She is active and playful. This role will implement behavior intervention through a play-based approach. The applicant must be active.
Behavior Interventionist Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment
· Monitor and evaluate the client's progress.
· Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care
· Track and record client data and progress
Behavior Interventionist Requirements and Qualifications:
· Knowledge of autism and effective behavior intervention strategies
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
· Able to work independently and as part of a team

Description:
Our young and busy family is seeking the assistance of one or two reliable and energetic individuals to hire as BIs for our happy and fun-loving 3-year-old autistic son. Sessions would take place at his daycare. He loves dinosaurs, monster trucks, lining things up, playing in the sandbox, and anything related to water. He is silly, cuddly, tons of fun, and always puts a smile on everyone’s face. He is currently nonverbal and learning to use an AAC device. He is also a sensory seeker so our main goals are communication and emotional regulation skills.
Sessions will be play-focused and based in a naturalistic setting. Strong play skills are an asset. Applicants must be 19 years old, have a clear criminal record check, and be able to make a one year commitment.
Additional training will be provided by our Speech-Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist.
