Virtual Drop-in

Need quick support with your immigration or transition-related questions? Join our鈥疍rop-In Advising鈥痵essions鈥攏o appointment needed!

Format:

  • First-come, first-served basis 
  • Advising time is limited to 15 minutes per student 
  • Wait times depend on the number of students in the queue 
  • The drop-in queue closes either when we reach capacity or 30 minutes before the scheduled end time, whichever comes first 
  • If your question requires more time, an advisor may schedule a follow-up meeting

鈿狅笍 Complex Cases

If you are experiencing complex circumstances, such as:

  • A refused study or work permit application
  • A study/work permit application complicated by critical incidents, academic standing, financial holds, or a leave of absence
  • An urgent or time-sensitive application (e.g. your permit has expired or will expire within a week)
  • Being denied entry to Canada or required to leave the country

Please fill out an appointment request form. One of our advisors will get in touch with you and guide you through your next steps.

Unable to Join the Meeting? 

Troubleshooting Zoom Drop-in

The waiting room will be locked once we reach capacity for the Zoom drop-in session, and you will see the message 鈥淭he meeting has been locked by the host鈥 (see example).

Depending on the number of students in the queue, the waiting room may be locked before the scheduled drop-in time.
