Upcoming: Seniors' Activity Centre Speaker Series
Mei will be speaking at an upcoming community Speaker Series event titled 鈥淏eyond Age-Friendly: Reimagining Cities, Care, and Community.鈥�
The presentation will explore new perspectives on the Age-Friendly Cities and Communities (AFCC) framework, highlighting both progress and ongoing challenges across British Columbia related to implementation, sustainability, equity, and system integration. The discussion will also emphasize the important role of seniors鈥� centres and community organizations as vital social infrastructure that support connection, wellbeing, and healthy aging.
Many of the themes explored in the presentation closely connect with the ongoing work of the COALESCE project, including age-inclusive environments, community resilience, and place-based approaches to aging and care.
