COALESCE Research Featured in The Source
COALESCE Principal Investigator Mei Fang was recently featured in The Source, discussing the importance of creating age-friendly communities and recognizing the vital role that seniors' centres play in supporting connection, participation, and wellbeing among older adults.
The article highlights Dr. Fang's work in urban aging and community-based research, including insights from the COALESCE project. It explores how community spaces such as seniors' centres provide opportunities for social participation, lifelong learning, and engagement, while helping address challenges such as social isolation and exclusion.
The feature also emphasizes the importance of involving older adults in research and decision-making processes and reimagining communities that are inclusive, supportive, and responsive to the needs and contributions of older adults.
We are grateful to The Source for helping bring attention to the important role of older adults, community spaces, and age-friendly approaches in building stronger and more connected communities.
