Connect with advisors at Arts Central for everything from course selection to degree planning. Advisors are ready and able to help students from their first day on campus. Getting advice early on will have a positive impact on your studies!

Meet with an advisor

Academic advisors are here to help you make informed decisions about your academic career and professional future and can provide you with the tools you need to navigate FASS' departments and programs.

Drop-in advising is available Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., in Arts Central (AQ 3020) and via Zoom as indicated in Advisor Link. Bookable appointments are available in the afternoons. Drop-in times, remote access information and appointment availability can be found on Advisor Link.

FASS One students and those taking courses at the Surrey campus can connect with an advisor at sryfass@sfu.ca.

Upcoming Advising Closures

June 17th - Arts Central will be closed for drop-in advising all morning. Advisors will be available for pre-booked appointments in the afternoon.

FASS Course Planning Workshops (Fall 2026)
Get ready for enrolment with our fabulous FASS Advisors. From creating a balanced schedule to navigating goSFU, this session will provide everything you need to know as you prepare for enrolment in your first term. Choose from the following sessions:

July 2 (Thursday), 3:00PM PDT, online

July 3 (Friday), 11:00AM PDT, online

*The above workshops are intended for undeclared FASS students entering their first term at 51社区黑料in Fall 2026. Students in the SFU-Exeter Accelerated Law Program will receive course planning information directly from their advisors (these sessions are not applicable).
