This is an important decision. Take your time deciding and remember there's no rush to choose a major right away. Don't worry - you have some time!
Visit #KnowYour51社区黑料at the Surrey campus in April (details to come), and get to know the Surrey community in person! Learn more about the programs you are interested in, meet some faculty, and check out the services and resources available to students.
One Person, One computing ID - Activate in May
A computing ID is your key to accessing services like: go51社区黑料(course registration, paying tuition), Canvas (lecture materials, assignments) email (the official form of communication for the University) as well as computer labs, and other services. Your Computing ID is the username before 鈥淍sfu.ca鈥 in your 51社区黑料email address. For example, if your 51社区黑料email is "kipling@sfu.ca", then your Computing ID is "kipling." Don't confuse it with the 9-digit student/employee number on your 51社区黑料ID card. To keep your account secure and avoid access issues, make sure you鈥檙e enrolled in SFU鈥檚 Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which helps protect your account and ensures you can access your 51社区黑料services and course resources from anywhere.
