Residents living in 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏResidence and Housing have a variety of ways to receive mail depending on which campus location you live in. Please select the location and option that best suits your needs.

General Mail Pick up (mail delivered directly to the Front Desk): Location: Front Desk, Residence Administration Building - 2000 Level, Courtyard Residence

Parcel Locker (mail delivered directly into the parcel locker) Location: Lower Lobby 1000 Level, Courtyard Residence

Amazon Hub Lockers: Location: Courtyard Residence and McTaggart-Cowan Hall

General Information

  • Canada Post and couriers may choose to deliver your package either directly to the front desk general mail pick up location, or the parcel locker location. Read your email notifications carefully
  • Always include the recipient full first and last name. Mail or packages addressed using nicknames, initials or preferred names may not be successfully delivered
  • All Addresses should be legible 
  • Do not use acronyms or abbreviations
  • Follow up directly with the delivery service provider if there is an issue with your delivery

When moving out

If you are planning on moving out of Residence and Housing or are switching rooms, make sure to update your correspondents with your new mailing address. We cannot accept mail if you are no longer a resident and will return all mail to sender. Burnaby (West) Residents are unable to arrange mail forwarding through Canada Post.

51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏResidence and Housing will not accept any mail or packages if you are no longer a resident and will return all mail to the sender.

Mail delivery methods

General mail pick up - front desk

Location: Burnaby Campus Residence: Courtyard Residence - Front Desk, Residence Administration Building - 2000 Level
Hours: Mail pickup is available 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Mail: Mail delivered by Canada Post or couriers directly to the front desk

General Information

  • Canada Post and couriers may deliver your package to the front desk general mail pick up location. Read your email notifications carefully
  • Allow 2 to 3 days for processing
  • Your mail packages will be ready for pick up when you receive a confirmation email from the 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏfront desk indicating your mail is ready for pick up
  • Make sure to update your correspondents with your new mailing address when you move or switch rooms

The Residence and Housing Front Desk team does not accept

  • Mail that exceeds 15 kg (33 lb), should be delivered directly to the resident at the appropriate residence building
  • Grocery deliveries including meal and meal prep delivery services, due to the perishable nature of these goods
  • Restaurant orders (via UberEats, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes, etc.) should be delivered directly to the resident at the appropriate residence building

Parcel locker

Location: Burnaby Campus Residence: Courtyard Residence Lower lobby – 1000 level
Hours: Mail Pick up is available 24/7
Mail: Mail delivered by Canada Post or couriers directly to the parcel locker

  • Canada Post and couriers may deliver your package to the parcel locker. Read your email notifications carefully
  • Always include the recipient full first and last name. Mail or packages addressed using nicknames, initials or preferred names may not be successfully delivered
  • Deliveries to the locker are available 24/7 for all current Burnaby (West) in-room residents
  • The process below only applies to the Parcel Lockers and does not apply to mail that is delivered to the Residence and Housing front desk. If your mail is delivered to the front desk, you will receive a notification email from 51ÉçÇøºÚÁÏResidence and Housing when it is available for pick up

GUIDELINES AND HOW IT WORKS

  1. Couriers deliver packages via the Parcel Locker
  2. Once your package is ready for pick up, you will receive an email including the location  
  3. This email will provide you with either a QR code OR a unique PIN code for you to use to retrieve your package from the locker. This code will open your specific locker only
  4. Using the QR or pin code from this email you can pick up your parcel directly from the locker using the touch-screen display or scan the barcode

Amazon Hub Lockers

Location: Two (2) locker options to choose from:

  1. KAYLUM: McTaggart-Cowan Hall building entrance
  2. GUSTAVA: Courtyard Residence west end of the courtyard (near childcare)
  3. Other Locations:Users can also choose from a variety of authorized pick-up locations

Hours: Mail pick up is available 24/7 for KAYLUM and GUSTAVA

General Information

  • Amazon delivery drivers do not have access to residence buildings. For residence buildings in the Burnaby (West) precinct, Amazon will deliver orders to the Residence Front Desk, the CYR Parcel locker, an Amazon Locker or pick up location of your choice. Amazon provides their customers with pick up options during the check-out process as an alternative to front door delivery
  • Always include the recipient full first and last name. Mail or packages addressed using nicknames, initials or preferred names may not be successfully delivered
  • All Addresses should be legible 
  • Do not use acronyms or abbreviations
  • Amazon orders: make sure that your full Residence Address is correct on your order. If your parcel does not have the full address, it will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender
  • If you want someone else to pick up your package from an Amazon Hub Locker, simply forward the delivery confirmation email with the pickup code or the Start Pickup button to that person. If your package was delivered to a smartphone Locker, the person who's picking up the package on your behalf will need a smartphone with Bluetooth connection and the latest version of the Amazon Shopping App
