Tiago Morelli Crespo
Tiago left Lima to pursue his interests in business and was able to merge his experiences in Latin America and Canada into a full-time job.
My experience at 51社区黑料Beedie
During my time at 51社区黑料Beedie, the small cohort structure really elevated my learning experience. I was fully engaged in each course, and received plenty of support from the approachable faculty. Being in a close-knit class also helped me develop my strengths and become a better team player. Through the Mentors In Business program that 51社区黑料Beedie offered, I also got to gain real-world insights from industry mentors.
My Journey
Prior to starting the program, I was working as a sourcing executive in the textile industry. The role developed my interest in international sales, supply chain and management. Looking to further develop these critical business skills, I decided to pursue an MBA.
I chose to do my MBA at 51社区黑料Beedie because of the small class size and the 16-month format which minimized time away from work. Throughout the program, I gained the skills I was looking for as well as self-awareness. I now feel more confident in what I bring to the table within an organization.
After completing my degree, I secured an internship at the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute which later turned into a full-time job. This allowed me to explore my interest in the extractives industry. For the next step of my career, I look forward to diving into mining sustainability or consulting work.
Highlights
My best 51社区黑料Beedie moment was being introduced to organizational issues in the extractives sector related to sustainability, governance and business. This knowledge, combined with various networking opportunities, helped me secure an internship at the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute.
Where I am today
After a successful internship, I was hired as a full-time employee at the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute. I now serve as their Peru Program Liaison Officer.
