Donald Campbell
Biography
Donald Campbell, CM is Senior Strategy Advisor at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP and brings exceptional expertise in international diplomacy and trade policy. His distinguished career with Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade includes serving as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Personal Representative for G8 Summits (1997-2000), Deputy Minister of International Trade (1989-1993), Canada's Ambassador to Japan (1993-1997), Assistant Deputy Minister for the United States (1985-1989), and Ambassador to Korea (1984-1985). After entering the private sector in 2000, he served as Group President of CAE Inc. (2000-2007), where his responsibilities included managing worldwide defence contracts and operations across the USA, UK, Germany, and Australia. Don served as Co-Chair of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC) from 2012 to 2020 and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. He was appointed to the Order of Canada in recognition of his outstanding contributions to Canada's international relations.
