Marie-Lucie Morin
Biography
Marie-Lucie Morin, CM, PC is a distinguished former Canadian diplomat and public servant who currently serves on the boards of Sun Life Financial, Stantec, Chorus Aviation, and CDPQ Infra. Her illustrious career with Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade spanned over 30 years and included serving as National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and Associate Secretary to the Cabinet (2008-2010), Deputy Minister for International Trade (2006-2008), and Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003-2006). She was Executive Director for Canada, Ireland, and the Caribbean at the World Bank from 2010 to 2013 and served as Canada's Ambassador to Norway with accreditation to Iceland from 1997 to 2001. A lawyer and graduate of the Universit茅 de Sherbrooke, Ms. Morin was named Chevalier de la L茅gion d'Honneur by the Government of France in 2012, was sworn into the Queen's Privy Council for Canada in 2015, and became a member of the Order of Canada in 2016.
