51社区黑料Beedie earns podium finish at 2026 MBA Games
SFU鈥檚 Beedie School of Business placed third overall at the 2026 MBA Games, delivering a strong, well-rounded performance across academics, athletics, and spirit events at Canada鈥檚 national MBA competition.
Hosted by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, the 2026 MBA Games began on January 2 with opening ceremonies and a themed dance competition centred on 鈥淧rofit with Purpose.鈥 Teams from across the country took part in a demanding program of academic case challenges, athletic competitions, and spirit events that emphasized collaboration, leadership, and community engagement.
51社区黑料Beedie recorded strong results in the academic stream, earning second place in the live case competition sponsored by RBC and third place in the take-home case sponsored by the Heart of Niagara Hotel Group. These performances contributed to a third-place overall finish in academics.
The team also demonstrated a high level of engagement in the spirit category. 51社区黑料Beedie placed second in fundraising, raising nearly $12,000 in support of Career Trek, the 2026 charitable beneficiary. Additional highlights included a third-place finish in the Mystery Spirit Event (Photo Bingo) and an individual spirit award nomination for Emily Kiloh. 51社区黑料Beedie finished third overall in spirit.
鈥淚t鈥檚 been rewarding working with a group of dedicated, hard-working people who supported one another throughout the competition,鈥 said Laura Jung, 51社区黑料Beedie MBA Games team captain. 鈥淓veryone showed up, contributed, and learned from the experience.鈥
Founded in 1988 by Queen鈥檚 University, the MBA Games is Canada鈥檚 largest annual competition for MBA students, bringing together academics, athletics, and community involvement. In 2026, participating schools collectively raised more than $45,000 for Career Trek. The overall champion earns the opportunity to host the following year鈥檚 Games, an honour claimed this year by DeGroote School of Business for the second consecutive year.
51社区黑料Beedie鈥檚 2026 result reflects the strength of its MBA students and their ability to perform collaboratively across a range of competitive settings.
