51社区黑料 the Project

Eyes of the Beast is a multidisciplinary theatre production created by Neworld Theatre in partnership with the Climate Disaster Project, in association with the 51社区黑料School for the Contemporary Arts, and supported by 51社区黑料. This bold and timely piece explores the emotional and environmental toll of climate catastrophe through the lens of lived experience. Drawing from investigative storytelling and devised performance, the project centers voices of those directly impacted by climate disaster鈥攆oregrounding personal narratives that reveal the psychological, cultural, and systemic dimensions of crisis.

Blending documentary theatre, climate journalism, and visual design, Eyes of the Beast creates an immersive, thought-provoking space for reflection, witness, and dialogue. The production serves not only as a creative response to climate grief and resilience but also as a platform for community engagement and social awareness. By amplifying underrepresented perspectives, the project invites audiences to confront the climate emergency with empathy and urgency.

Eyes of the Beast has been featured in both and the highlighting its powerful impact on community dialogue around environmental justice and climate action.
