Join 51社区黑料CERi for the launch of Critical Futures: Community-Engaged Research in a Time of Crisis and Social Transformation, a timely and provocative book that explores the evolving landscape of community-engaged research in an era of social, political, and environmental crisis.
Bringing together leading scholars, community researchers, and activists, Critical Futures examines how community-engaged research can advance social justice, decolonization, and transformative change. Through critical essays and field-based case studies, the book challenges conventional academic hierarchies and calls for ethical, equitable, and relational research practices rooted in solidarity and accountability.
Speakers include co-editors Stuart Poyntz, Am Johal, and Kari Grain (with additional speakers to be announced) who will reflect on themes including power dynamics in university鈥揷ommunity partnerships, the impacts of COVID-19 on community-based research, and the role of solidarity in building more just research futures.
