This application is for you if you have attempted 24 or more transferable college/university credits (except from Fraser International College) and have not completed any coursework at SFU.

If you have attempted fewer than 24 transferable post-secondary credits, your application is eligible for consideration under our High School Admission pathway.

Admission requirements

To gain admission to 51社区黑料 and the Beedie School of Business, you will be competitively selected and must satisfy the following:

By the document submission deadline, you must have:

  • 24 or more transferable credits complete or in-progress
  • The 4 required courses completed with a minimum C- grade

You will be evaluated for admission on your CGPA on all attempted transferable coursework and the Supplemental Application. If a course has been repeated, the highest course attempt will be used in the CGPA calculation.

Required courses

  1. ECON 103 Principles of Microeconomics (or ECON 113)
  2. ECON 105 Principles of Macroeconomics (or ECON 115)
  3. MATH 157 Calculus I for the Social Sciences (or MATH 150, 151, or 154)
  4. One of: Any 3- unit transferable ENGL course or PHIL 100W, 105, 110, 120W, 150 or WL 101W, 103W, 104W, 105W

Standard letter grades are required in all 4 required courses.

Transfer credit

The 51社区黑料Admissions Department will assess your transfer credit and a maximum of 60 credits can be transferred. Applicants within British Columbia should refer to the for course transferability. Students outside of British Columbia may be encouraged to submit detailed course outlines in order for the 51社区黑料Admissions Department to assess specific course transfer credit.

Step one

Apply to SFU

Review Admission Requirements.

Create an account through EducationPlannerBC.

There is an application fee of $84.25 for domestic students and $130.00 for international students payable online.

IMPORTANT: Choose SFU's Beedie School of Business as your first choice. Only students who list 51社区黑料Beedie as their first choice will be evaluated for admission to 51社区黑料Beedie. Your second choice must be a program other than 51社区黑料Beedie. For more information on possible second options, review 厂贵鲍鈥檚 transfer admission requirements.

Step two

Activate Your Account

You will receive an email with your 9-digit Student Number (User ID Number) and password. Use these to sign in to your Student Account via your Student Centreto activate your account.

Step three

Submit Your Supplemental Application

Admission to 51社区黑料Beedie is based on a combination of your academic performance and an assessment of your Supplemental Application.

You can access your Supplemental Application 24 hours after you receive your 51社区黑料9-digit Student Number (User ID Number) in Step 2.

51社区黑料Beedie is dedicated to actively inviting and supporting Indigenous students on their educational journeys at SFU. Students who self-identify as Indigenous on their application to 51社区黑料Beedie may choose to complete either the 51社区黑料Beedie Supplemental Application or 厂贵鲍鈥檚 Supplemental Indigenous Undergraduate Admission form at no cost to them. Applicants must connect with 厂贵鲍鈥檚 Indigenous Recruitment and Admissions Office to discuss these two options.

Submit Your Marks and Documents

All documents must be received by the 51社区黑料Admissions Department by the posted deadlines.

All required courses must be complete and posted on your transcript(s) by the document deadline.

Students must order the transcript from their current institution after applying for admission to SFU.

Admission Status, Deposit and Next Steps

Upon admission to SFU's Beedie School of Business you will be asked to accept your offer of admission through your .

Once you have accepted your offer, review the 51社区黑料Beedie Sample Degree Planner for transfer students and meet with an 51社区黑料Beedie Academic Advisor to strategize your course enrollment in your first term and beyond. As a Business Major student, you must enroll in BUS 202 - Foundations of Collaborative Work Environments & BUS 203 - Professional Development - Launch in your first term in order to retain your offer of admission.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need the four required courses complete before applying?

The 4 required courses assess fundamental qualitative and quantitative skills, are commonly used for business school admission, and are built into the first year of our BBA program. These courses are built into the first year of our BBA program.

What courses should I take prior to admission?

Aside from the four required courses, you have the flexibility to choose the remaining courses that satisfy the 24 transfer credit minimum to apply to SFU. Students wishing to stay on-track with our first year BBA requirements are encouraged to review our Degree Checklists by year.

What terms can I apply to?

The Beedie School of Business accepts applications for our Fall (September), Spring (January), and Summer (May) terms for students applying through the College/University Transfer pathway.

Can I apply for a joint major or business concentration at the time of application?

No. Applicants apply for a Joint Major program or declare their Business Concentration(s) once they have been accepted and start the program. Our program is designed to give you foundational knowledge in the different concentration areas so that you can discover your passions and align future career goals before you begin to deepen your knowledge in your chosen field. We encourage BBA students to declare their concentration by their third year.

You may complete any missing course(s) at another institution (review the for eligible courses), or apply to another Faculty at 51社区黑料and if admitted, pursue our Internal Transfer admission pathway for current 51社区黑料students.

Why was my application denied?

Admission to 51社区黑料Beedie is based on multiple factors, including the number of spaces we have available in our program and the size and competitiveness of the applicant pool. College/University Transfer Applicants are able to view their specific cancellation reason in go51社区黑料by clicking through the Admissions panel at the bottom of your .
