Admission Notes

Bachelor programs last for 6-8 semesters (180 to 240 ECTS credits). The Licence is awarded upon completion of 3 years of study beyond the Baccalaureat. Applications from students with a bachelor鈥檚 degree of three years duration (180 ECTS) are considered on a case-by-case basis for graduate admission eligibility by Graduate Studies. A non-standard admission case must be submitted to DGS for review and consideration.

The grandes ecoles are higher education institutions outside the French university system. Degrees from the grandes ecoles are normally awarded upon completion of 5 years of study (300 ECTS). They are usually focused on one subject specialization, such as engineering or business, and are highly selective in the admission of students. The classes preparatoires aux grandes ecoles are classes which prepare students for admission into the specific grande ecole subject specialization. Classes preparatoires usually require 2 years of study and may be offered in a high school or at the grande ecole. These classes are considered post-secondary in level, regardless of where they are held. Upon completion of the classes preparatoires, the student takes a concours (entrance examination) for admission to the grande ecole.

Master programs normally last for 4 semesters (120 ECTS credits). The Mastere is awarded upon completion of 2 years of study beyond the Licence.

  • ECTS grading system is being used in addition to the local grades.
