Admission Notes

  • A Diplomado is obtained after completing only the first university cycle (the second cycle is the Licenciado and the third cycle is the Doctorado) and is not equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
  • A Diplomatura is obtained from an Escuela Universitaria after three years of study and is a terminal qualification that does not lead to a bachelor’s-level program. An appropriate bridging course can be taken (Curso de Adaption) which allows students to then continue on to the second cycle to obtain a Licenciado.
