add or remove application from a user queue
Every user in Slate has a Queue, which is a personal 鈥渢o do鈥 list:
- Adding a reviewer/reader to an application places that application in that person's Queue.
- Ensure applications are in the intended bin as different bins have different forms associated with them.
This page outlines options to add/remove applications from a user queue. These are the same options you use to assign reviewers (aka readers).
Access to goGRAD/Slate
- Access Slate's administrative side:
- Access/share Slate's Reader (review) side:
- To access Slate's Reader from the administrative side, click the laptop icon:
Option 1: Self-Assignment
This may be a better option for units that have multiple committee members and/or large number of applications. You may wish to run the query to ensure your reviewers have access.
From within Slate:
- Click on Browse, then Committee Review bin (or other desired bin)
- Click the application rows you wish to review (they will highlight in blue)
- Click Add to Queue (top right)
You may wish to send your committee members a list of applications and a link to the Reviewer Resource page, which has instructions for reviewers on how to:
- log in and navigate SLATE.
- add/remove applications to their queue (self assign).
- find/complete/send the reviewer form.
Option 2: Assistant Assigns Reviewers
From inside an application:
- Click on Applicant ID and Name (top left).
- Click on Edit Bin/Queue.
- Use the Bin dropdown to ensure the application is in the intended bin and use the Add Reader dropdown to add faculty members as reviewers.
- Click Save.
You can add multiple Readers at a time using this option.
Warning: moving applications to a new bin will interrupt forms!
If any user has started a form for an applicant in the current bin, those forms will need to be submitted before using the Quick Reference to move the application to another bin.
Alternately, remove all current users before moving the application.
OPTION 3: USE REVIEW FORM
All roles can assign a reviewer/reader within a Review Form. Use this option if reviewers are completing reviews in a consective order. Use these instructions if you want a last reviewer to pass the application into the GPC Review bin and assign to the chair.
From inside an application:
- Click Review Form/Send to Bin (bottom right) and complete the form.
- Use the Next Bin dropdown to keep the application in the same bin or move the application to another bin.
- Use the Next Reader field to type a reviewer name. The field will auto populate with possible readers.
- Click Send.
Users can use the Next Bin drop down to move the application or keep it in the same bin:
Users cannot move an application if other readers have it in their queue:
